Bush's Admin Assistant: Nancy Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi worked all night to make sure Bush was comfortably accommodated during his major market screw-ups through deregulation mistakes. And when Bush needed to cover up 30 counts of felonies, Nancy Pelosi, the little trooper that she is, loyally lied to the American people so little Bushie wouldn't get impeached due to his criminal behavior. Bushie wanted off-shore drilling, no problem"o", Nancy lead Bushie's need to over-turn 40 years of off-shore drilling laws. Now Bush had a desire for fictious, non-productive oversight to give away $ 700 Billion to friends and relations, that was easily enough accommodated for, because we all know by now that Dems don't do oversight. Not ever, no way, no how!

Time for Ms. "Know Your Power" Nancy Pelosi to go join Tom Daschle and Phil Gramm in the private sector industry. Nancy Pelosi has turned out to be the best friend Bush and Cheney ever had, next to Bill Clinton.

Update from the New York Times:

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Democrat of California Speaker of the House

"When was the last time someone asked you for $700 billion? It is a number that is staggering, but tells us only the costs of the Bush Administration's failed economic policies -- policies built on budgetary recklessness, on an anything goes mentality, with no regulation, no supervision, and no discipline in the system."

Yes, $ 700 Billion is a staggering amount alright, so why is Nancy gladly going to hand the money over, no questions asked?

In order to prove a point, that Bush is in fact reckless? It's all quite stupid really, and we see that the Netroots are wildly cheering on this "Bush policy"with glee. The netroots have suddenly found a new love for Dubya and all his failed policies, even accepting Bush's wiretapping right along with his investment bank failure extreme bailout plan. Odd too, that suddenly the GOP now finds that Bush and his policies are toxic. Well it certainly took them long enough, but it's far too late of course. Poor John McCain - so feebly old is he, that he hasn't yet caught the new change in the direction of the wind.

Arm-Chair Pundit David S. Broder

Broder is packing heat once again, firing off the "Border Bounce Award" as the Dean of Politics, known for his political savy, proclaims that McCain is the "Alpha Dog".

It was a small thing, but I counted six times that Obama began a sentence with the words that McCain was "absolutely right" about a point he had made. No McCain sentences began with a similar acknowledgement of his opponent's wisdom, even though the two agreed on Iran, Russia and the U.S. financial crisis far more than they disagreed.

It was a small thing alright, words that only a partisan hack would indulge in the "meaning of" but isn't that all that the GOP has become these days? They pick at straws and make hay out of nothing.

The Muttering Mindset of John McCain

The old corporate stooge can't leave the Vietnam era behind and it's sounds like McCain wants to recreate the post Vietnam era.

MCCAIN: Jim, when I came home from prison, I saw our veterans being very badly treated, and it made me sad. And I embarked on an effort to resolve the POW-MIA issue, which we did in a bipartisan fashion, and then I worked on normalization of relations between our two countries so that our veterans could come all the way home.

I guarantee you, as president of the United States, I know how to heal the wounds of war, I know how to deal with our adversaries, and I know how to deal with our friends.

Oh and, McCain would VETO everything "my friends," everything! Health care, education benefits, college money, highway maintenance, Katrina clean-up funds, renewable resources, and anything else Americans needed, so forget it -- it's all labeled as pork-barrel money no-no's to our friend, Sen. John McCain.

I thought we should all revive the real Vietnam War era just a bit, but not with ABBA, as that band didn't come around until after McCain's dear love of the Vietnam War era ended. The Vietnam War era was a very bitter time in American as the band Creedence Clearwater Revival showed so well in this song.

It’s Friday Cat Burglar Blogging

McCain "Might" Make it to the Debates tonight

The Baltimore Sun:

McCain appeared to hint last night that he would be at the debate, saying it was "very possible" enough progress would be made on an bailout agreement for him to fly to Mississippi today. "I'm very hopeful, very hopeful that we can," he said in network TV interviews.

The debates are suppose to take place at 9:00 pm EST.

And this news too:
McCain and Obama are scheduled to meet twice more, on Oct. 7 and 15. Vice presidential nominees Sarah Palin and Joe Biden meet next Thursday.

Also reporting on Karl Rove's two cents worth:
Karl Rove, who guided George W. Bush's rise to the White House, has said "it may be the fall's most critical event."

Yes, it probably will be the last time Sen. John McCain is considered even a viable presidential contender, seeing as how the Bush Administration left McCain completely out of the loop with word of the Bailout Bombshell. I just don't see an upside to this situation about the bailout fiasco for McCain or the Republicans. The GOP is stalling for time, but those guys don't have any answers and there is no "winning way" out of Bushies big heist event. Bush and Cheney weren't in it for anybody but themselves and as I've said before loyalty to the Bush Administration was very much a one-way street.

UPDATE: The Off Again - On Again Presidential Campaign of John McCain.

Apparently Sen. McConfused has been pointed toward Mississippi, walked to his waiting jet and told the Wall Street Journal had already posted his success in tonight’s debate. Murdock must have been pretty adamant that his campaign money and ad spots in his "fair and balanced" newspaper not be a total waste.

At least Obama didn't just sign Bush's Bailout Plan

At least the Dems were not stampeded into this Bailout Bill in the way they were with the FISA Bill, but still the lacking message from the Democrats saying nothing about the "no court review" part of Bush's crappy Bailout Bill. It seems Dems are happy with their own review, so no court review needed but we all know that Dems review is pure political and thus pure rubbish. This Bailout Bill can and probably will do noting in the long term, except provide all the wrong people with money to burn as Bushie's helps his good buds out with taxpayer money as a parting gift.

On Olbermann tonight, Chuck Todd recommend that Bush speak out to Americans and than Bush did speak tonight, but afterwords Chris Matthews on Maddow's show said that it was almost as if Bush wanted to spark a run on the banks with his "you should panic" (and give me the money or else) speech. Hasn't Bush lied about everything he ever said? Isn't that WHY Bush send out Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson to deliver the bad news and why Bush sent Colin Powell to the UN to lie about WMD and had to pick General Petraeus to push for a surge in Iraq? YES, it is all because NOBODY believes Bush since Bush has pretty much established the cold hard fact that he is liar, and did it quite a while ago, back sometime in Bushies first year or so in office.

Obama's Doesn't Waste Time or Mince Words

Obama says exactly the right things, at exactly the right time.
